Highcliffe athletes soar to victory

Hosted by the South Charnwood School Sport and Physical Activity Network, our 19 pupils faced off against children from seven other schools. They competed in a range of athletic events – both individual and team-based – including relay races, high, long and triple jump, javelin, speed bounce and medicine ball throwing.

Points were awarded to the athletes who covered the greatest distance, or who completed their race in the shortest time. The scores of individual pupils were then collated to give each school an overall total.

After tallying up all of the scores, Highcliffe emerged victorious, amassing a sensational 254 points!

The children showed brilliant teamwork and togetherness as they cheered one another on and demonstrated all of their 6Rs.

Having won this event, our children will now go on to represent the area at the County Championships later this year!
