Exciting Author visit

A former pupil at Highcliffe, Steve has gone on to write and publish a range of children's books, as part of the collaborative ‘The Two Steves,’ writing partnership, alongside fellow author Steve Barlow. Together, they have penned popular titles such as Killer Custard, Enter The Penguin and NINJA.

On the day, Steve spoke to children from each key stage, detailing his own career path and explaining how he made the transition from where they were sitting to becoming an acclaimed author of over 200 books.

Following this, he held a hands-on workshop for our Year 6 pupils, in which he took them through the creation of his Shakespeare graphic novels, which were published in 2022.

Listening intently, children gained a valuable insight into storytelling and creativity, which certainly inspired their own writing.

 

We are very grateful to Steve for coming in to speak to our pupils, who learned a great deal from what he told them.
